Inspirational Speaker

Yvonne was born at the beginning of WW2 in The Netherlands, to a Jewish mother and a protestant father, with an older brother. Her earliest memories are not far removed from those related in Anna Frank’s diaries as her parents were leaders of the underground and they were under constant surveillance by the SS. Terrifying looking soldiers in grey uniforms with big black boots. This left quite an impression on her. Her mother’s family was completely wiped out in concentration camps, causing emotional devastation.
When she was 9 years old, her family moved to Indonesia, where within 6 months they were head long into a vicious civil war with Soekarno encouraging his people to behead all foreign devils, in particular all white people. They lived under threat of attack for 3 years, after which they moved back to Holland. During that period, when she was 11, she was assaulted and pushed under an oncoming car by a maniacal girl who went on to murder 3 young boys on that same day.
In 1954 the family moved to Australia seeking peace and new opportunities. Although her early life had caused much trauma and stress, Yvonne was determined to find a way to make life purposeful, and enriching.
Today Yvonne dedicates her life to inspiring and educating people to live a peaceful, joyful and fulfilled existence.
Yvonne is an enthusiastic speaker who has facilitated workshops and seminars in Australia, Asia and Europe.
